Thank you for covering my class today. Attendance for all my classes(and homeroom) as well as all printed materials are in the folder on my chair near the front of the room. Attendance is on one sheet.
Homeroom
Please send kids who are late to the office if they come after the bell without a pass. Mark them as absent on the sheet. The only exceptions to this are Haley Quinn and Chris Rosanio. Their bus sometimes arrives late.
A Block
1. Take attendance. Do not let any student leave class without a pass. The answer to requests should tend to be "no". These students seldom ever ask to leave the room and today should not be any different. If a child does need to leave the room, the must have a pass no matter where they are going.
2. Have students complete their Bell Work for Wednesday. Those sheets are kept in a folder in a central location in the room. They usually do not submit them because I collect their responses electronically. Today they need to submit them When the students complete the problems from Wednesday or after 15 minutes, please collect and paper clip them and put them in the box on the back wall labeled A Block - Ungraded.
3. Collect and Grade Maintenance (Purple Sheet)
4. Collect HW from last night. It was called Linear Systems - Graphical Method Problems You Should Try.
Paper clip them together and place them in the first box on the back wall labeled A Block - Ungraded.
5. Distribute handout called Worksheet – Linear Systems – Graphical Method (3). Distribute rulers as well. Read the following instructions.
This worksheet will be graded for accuracy. It is due by the end of the class. You may not work with a partner. For problems #1 & #2, you can refer to the problems #6-9 on the worksheet called Solving Linear Systems – Day 1. It was handed out on Monday and the date stamp is April 11, 2016. For problems #3 & #4, you can watch the video calledSolving Linear Systems on Your Calculator. They can find this video on the front page of the ponderosa wiki. If you are seen by the sub on any website other than this one, your Chromebook will be taken until the end of the period and you will have to due the problems without the support of the videos. For the rest of the problems, look at your notes if you need to, but I feel that you will have that part under control.
6. If the students complete all of the above work, please distribute the KenKen worksheet. It is the sudoku looking puzzle sheet. Tell them that accurate completion of each puzzle will result in 1 point extra credit. They may not work with a partner on it.
While students are completing this, please grade the Maintenance worksheets.
Only row 3 needs to be graded.
Refer to the strip of paper for the answer key.
If the student gets the value for m or b incorrect, please put an x through the number of the problem.
When you are done, hand them back and inform the kids that row 4 is due tomorrow as well as their corrections.
B Block
1. Take attendance. Do not let any student leave class without a pass.
2. This class is taking a test. The only people who will not be doing so are Jake Welsh, Makenna Lukens and Rachel Forbes. They are more than welcome to work on midterm review while the other kids are testing. They should have a copy of the midterm review.
3. Ask students who share a table to put up a "hookemshmoobie" up between them. They will know what this means.
4. Distribute the tests. The students may use calculators but NO notes of any kind.
5. When the students are finished they should put their tests in the BACK WALL BOX for their class.
6. Their homework is Worksheet – Conversion & Quadrants. Please distribute it while the kids are taking the test. They may start it if they finish the test.

the interruption of lunch
there is an aid in the class that will help grade the maintenance. Her name is Betsy Sykes. Please share the answer key strip with her.
